The Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade will take place 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, in the heart of downtown.
Parade organizers still are looking for event volunteers. The theme is “Christmas in Candyland."
This year’s Holiday Festival & Parade is presented by Banner Ironwood Medical Center. In addition, Hunter Contracting and the town of Queen Creek are helping to sponsor the event. San Tan Ford is sponsoring Santa's Villiage.
Now in its 39th year, the annual event benefits the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek. The highlight of the family-friendly festival is the parade, which will feature more than 90 entries ranging from marching bands and dance troupes to floats and Santa Claus.
The parade will start at 3:30 p.m. and head north on Ellsworth Road, ending at the Recreation Annex/Library. More than 10,000 guests are expected to attend. Those attendees also will enjoy carnival rides, bounce houses, arts and crafts, live music, food, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and photos with Santa.
This is an all-day event, and there is a need of more than 100 adult volunteers to assist in making sure the event is safe and successful. Volunteers are needed for three- to four-hour time slots between 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
