The possibilities are endless with an Apache Junction library card. On Sept. 26, the Apache Junction Public Library, 1177 N. Idaho Road, launches its newly designed sound studio fully stocked with cameras, professional lighting, microphones and mixers, a greenscreen and additional backdrops.
Be a rock star: Book the studio and create music podcasts, vlogs, commercials or full-length feature films — all in 4K. After the director yells, “Cut!” take advantage of the library’s iMac Pro editing suite and create a professional product to share with an elite few or a few million.
Prefer to work with your hands? The library’s Creation Zone features a 3D printer, digitalization station, poster printer, microfilm scanner and Cricut Maker. With the 3D printer you can print out all the small objects you need. Specialized parts for do-it-yourself projects, small replacement parts for car repair, toys and board game pieces are just a few possibilities.
Convert those family memories and home movies stored on outdated formats into digital files: Turn your vision into reality with a 24-by-36 poster in colors that pop available in matte, satin and glossy finishes. Wonder what’s on that fiche or roll film? The library’s ScanPro 3000 on-demand reader and conversion scanner will unearth the mystery.
Discover why everyone’s a-buzz over Cricuts: The electronic craft-cutting and drawing machines cut a variety of materials to craft into cards, paper crafts, customized T-shirts and more. If you’re all thumbs, we offer Cricut for Beginners classes. Classes will cover the basics of using the Cricut and what projects can be made with a cutting machine.
Arrive with your imagination and the library will supply the rest. For information, go to ajpl.org, or call 480-474-8555
