Due to the pandemic, many great highly qualified Arizonans have been laid off and Arizona Toastmasters wants to help them.

Arizona Toastmasters (District 3) is hosting its second Toastmasters Impact Education and Career Fair online 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, April 9. Register at bit.ly/2ZQbCev.

The event will include educational workshops for those seeking employment. They will be able to use the skills from those workshops to bypass the competition, the release states.

The estimated 16 workshops will focus on communication skills, resume writing, interviewing in today’s virtual world, leadership skills, how to make yourself marketable — be seen by the employer, and much more.

The workshops will provide the attendees the knowledge to then go to employers and interview with them all on the same day. We are encouraging all Arizona businesses seeking their next great hire to staff a virtual booth — at no charge.

“District 3 feels strongly connected to Arizona as we have been part of the community since 1938,” Karen Hewitt, distinguished toastmaster and District 3’s club growth director, said in the release. “We are in unprecedented times and felt inspired to give back by offering not only educational workshops but the opportunity for companies to advertise their open opportunities for employment at no charge to anyone participating. This is one way we can offer support as an established nonprofit educational organization in Arizona.”
