Storm leaves nearly 1,800 in Glendale without power

No injuries reported, but five power lines downed along Olive Avenue

A thunderstorm burst through Glendale Monday afternoon with wind gusts over 50 miles per hour in some spots, resulting in overturned trees, downed power lines and, as of 5 p.m., almost 1,800 APS customers without power.
