Pop artist Spencer Sutherland and his North American tour will arrive in Phoenix in February.
The tour will make a stop downtown at The Van Buren on Sunday, Feb. 23. The announcement follows news of his sophomore album, “The Drama,” set for release on Oct. 4.
A theatrical take on the classic album, Sutherland’s upcoming LP is a three-act modern rock opera as he voyages through excitement, heartbreak, and resilience. The first act "Welcome To The Show!" is the excitement of the beginning of a journey; the second act "A Tragedy!" is the heartbreak, loss and demotivation from the dream, and the third act, "God Save The Dream!", is the reignition of love.
Tickets for the Feb. 23 Phoenix show will be available starting with a Citi presale beginning Tuesday, Aug. 13. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at spencersutherland.com/tour.
Making its debut this fall, “The Drama” follows Sutherland’s viral 2024 hit, “Alive”, and the deluxe version of his debut album, “In His Mania,” which features fan-favorite single “Chicken Little” with superstar Meaghan Trainor.
“‘The Drama’ is what I like to call ‘Opera Pop Rock’,” Sutherland shared in a press release. “The rock and roll drive mixed with glamourized over-the-top lyrics makes you feel confident. If you were watching a movie of your life, wouldn’t you want to laugh and cry? What’s life without a little drama?”
