Simply Noted expands with Tempe headquarters on heels of rapid growth

Simply Noted, an automated handwritten letter company helping businesses communicate and build relationships, recently moved to larger headquarters in Tempe at 5025 S. Ash Street.

The new Simply Noted headquarters spans 3,000 square feet and will be able to produce more than 250,000 handwritten notes per month, according to a press release.

“When I launched Simply Noted, I wanted to help business owners, marketers, and sales teams communicate with their clients, customers, and employees in an efficient and authentic way,” said Rick Elmore, founder and CEO at Simply Noted. “The response has been overwhelming, as our growth over the last year alone has shattered all of our previous projections.”

Simply Noted has grown by more than 300% over the last 12 months, necessitating the need for a larger facility to meet increased demand, the release states.

While attending business school, Mr. Elmore developed a prototype for automating and scaling handwritten communication, a technology he has now perfected to write in a variety of styles and texts. These machines produce notes, cards, and envelopes that appear to have been written by hand.

“Businesses recognize that there is real value in handwritten communication and have successfully utilized this tactic to build relationships, show appreciation, and stand out from the competition,” Mr. Elmore explained.

“What many businesses, sales, and marketing leaders struggle with is the time it takes to sit down and write handwritten notes. That’s where Simply Noted comes in, to scale and automate the process.”

Mr. Elmore points to figures that say handwritten communication receives up to a 99% open rate, while the average open rate for email marketing is 22.7%. Additionally, handwritten letters and cards tend to be rare and stand out, as the average American received only 10 pieces of personal mail in 2017.

“Our customers are thrilled with the products that we produce,” Mr. Elmore pointed out. “No matter the industry, from nonprofit to real estate or finance to insurance, we’re proud to help our customers reach their goals and build their businesses.”

Mr. Elmore launched Simply Noted in 2018 during his time at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management where he was pursuing his master’s in Business Administration.
