I am utterly amazed at Jan Elk suggesting we return to normal when the state is only 25% vaccinated with two shots.

Shelledy: Virus rules should stay in place in Sun City

Do we know what the vaccination rate for Sun City is? Non-residents of Sun City bowl in our leagues. How do we know if they follow COVID protocols or whether they’ve been vaccinated?

This was as much a hap-hazard decision as Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey’s to lift the mask mandate for the state.

We should continue with the current mandate of masks and social distancing until we get closer to herd immunity in the state.
