Shaw: Calls Lesko’s statements ‘sedition’

Posted

I just spoke with Rep. Lesko’s D.C. office after receiving a non-response email to my simple election inquiry. I posed a simple yes-or-no question as to whether Joe Biden is our president elect, now that all 50 states have certified their results, handing President-elect Biden a “landslide” electoral win (per DJT in 2016) and a popular vote margin of 7 million votes — including Arizona’s 11 electoral votes.

The response from her office incensed me: “No,” still open “legal issues.” Yes, like the seditious amicus brief Rep. Lesko filed in support of the ridiculous suit filed by Texas with the Supreme Court to exclude the electoral votes of four states, which did not vote to her liking. Given the Civil War-like division this ridiculous suit has evoked with 18 states aligned with Texas and 22 supporting the four states under assault by Texas, sedition comes to mind.

Given Rep. Lesko is OK with throwing out results of the recent election, it seems like a seditious act to this voter. And news flash to Ms Lesko: you also represent the 40% of us who did not vote for you.

The fact that you joined Rep. Andy Biggs is a real testament to your disdain for our electoral process. This suit was apparently beyond the pale for Reps. Gosar and Schweikert. All of the states in question have certified their results and any state legal challenges in their state courts have been resolved on the eve of the Electoral College vote. We are past the “safe harbor” date.

Question for Rep. Lesko: Do you support our Constitution, or is your loyalty solely to Lame Duck Donald Trump? Simple yes or no will do.

Sedition: Incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority.
