Studio Art Quilt Associates will lead a program called “Tea Time! Surface Dyeing with Tea and Other Things” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 in the large classroom at Ground Floor Artists, 13343 W. Foxfire Drive, Suite 3 in Surprise.

The SAQA West Valley group will explore the art quilt, including color, texture, painting on, stitching and sewing a variety of fibers and fabrics.

The class is $50 for non-members or $20 for SAQA members payable via Venmo or Zelle. An RSVP is required, and those interested can sign up on this site.

No experience is required for these meetings. West Valley SAQA is a local Connections group of the SAQA.

Men and women are welcome to join. The groups meet on the first Saturday of each month (except June, July and November).

Conscious Creations Art Studio, led by Karen Izzi and now based at Ground Floor Artists, is also involved in most Ground Floor classes.
