Salvation Army to host event in Surprise to fight homelessness

The Salvation Army Northwest Valley Corps is hosting Project Connect, a pop-up resource and outreach event to end homelessness, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 at 17420 Ave of the Arts.

This event is led by the Human Service Campus and is supported by more than 30 local and regional nonprofits.

Anyone experiencing or on the brink of homelessness is welcome to attend.

There will be access to food, showers, employment assistance, housing assistance and other critical services.

Volunteers are needed.
