Following state and federal guidelines, the Town of Queen Creek took a series of steps in March to help slow the spread of COVID-19. During this time, the town worked to develop a phased reopening of in-person services.
Similar to the state of Arizona, the town is currently in phase one, which includes continuing to offer services online and over the phone. Phase one also included reopening park amenities in mid-May in alignment with the governor’s actions, according to a release.
The town continues to evaluate state and federal guidelines, and is prepared to enter phase two on Monday, June 1. Phase two includes reopening town buildings with safety measures in place. The lobbies will allow for physical distancing of 6 feet, provide plexiglass between the public and staff, with hand sanitizer available at the counters.
The town offers 24/7 access to a number of services and resources online at QueenCreek.org. Additionally, the public can access town services by calling 480-358-3000.
Phase two also includes:
Resuming bulk trash collection
Resuming curbside recycling collection
Opening the Queen Creek Recycling Center
Resume ramada and room rentals
Open registration for Special Interest Classes that comply with CDC guidelines
Begin taking reservations for events held on Town property
In-person utility payments by credit card (in-person cash and check payments will be directed to the drop box. Payments can continue to be made online, over the phone or by mail).
All reservations, programs and events on town property should adhere to CDC guidelines, the release states.
Signage with CDC guidelines have been posted in town parks and will be placed in front of town buildings:
Stay home if you are sick
Avoid gatherings of 10 or more people
Maintain at least 6 feet from others
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Cover your cough/sneeze
