Posted

The Apache Junction Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has hired Mary Ann Przybylski as president and CEO. She will assume the role in August.

Przybylski has worked as the director of operations of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and has extensive experience through ever-increasing responsibilities during her 17 years at the Chandler chamber, according to a release.

Prior to her work at the Chandler chamber, Przybylski worked in business development at the Tempe chamber for more than two years. She also worked in management for the staffing industry and as the membership director at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association prior to her chamber experience.

With more than 20 years of nonprofit experience, Przybylski brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working in business development, event management, program development, sponsor engagement and community outreach. Her leadership, experience, and accomplishments at previous chambers is evidence of her passion for chamber work, business growth and community support, the release states.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to serve as president and CEO of the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce,” Przybylski said in the release. “The community is well positioned for growth and opportunities for new business, job creation/sustainability and increased tourism. I look forward to leading this outstanding organization and have the privilege to continue the chamber’s 60-year mission while fostering the relationships the board of directors has developed with area businesses and community leaders.”

Przybylski was recognized in 2007 by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives as the top sales professional, ranking No. 1 in the nation for business development. She is a 2008 graduate of the Chandler Chamber Leadership Institute and a 2012 graduate of the Institute for Organizational Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She has degrees in marketing and communication from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

The Apache Junction Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is at 567 W. Apache Trail in Apache Junction. Go to ajchamber.com.
