The cast is set for Valley Youth Theatre’s upcoming production of “Charlotte’s Web,” an adaptation of E.B. White's beloved children's novel.
This tale of friendship, loyalty, and the power of words will take the stage from Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 27 at the theater located at 525 N. 1st St., in Phoenix.
Directed by Mark Stoddard, Valley Youth Theatre’s associate artistic director, “Charlotte’s Web” will bring to life the cherished story of Wilbur the pig, who is saved by his extraordinary friend Charlotte the spider thrrough musical numbers and colorful visuals.
“The story of ‘Charlotte’s Web’ highlights the importance of friendship and the selfless acts we make to help one another. At VYT, we strive to foster that same spirit within our community,” Stoddard stated. “We are thrilled to bring this magical tale to the stage and showcase the immense talent of our young performers from across the Valley.”
The production features an ensemble of 26 young actors from across the Valley: Olivia Fearey (as “Charlotte”); Parker Pitt (Fern Arable); Tommy Hebel (Wilbur); Jaden Sparkman (Templeton); Nneamaka Onyia (Martha Arable); Aidan Vidaurri (John Arable); Colton Wilcher (Avery Arable); Madelyn Moyer (Edith Zuckerman); Jacob Romero (Homer Zuckerman); Aiden Haren (Lurvy); Sophie Specter (Goose); Jayvin Sumler (Gander); Vivian Paige Nichols (Sheep); Alexia Lade (Lamb); Charlotte Specter (Spirit of Summer Dancer/Bat); Mahagani Carter, Thomas Kim and Kaylah Magee (Little Spider/Ensemble); and an ensemble featuring Abby Baumbach, Grier Donnally, Lucian Epling, Ellie Evans, Michael Jaramillo, Santiago Lacey, Va’Nessa Madden, and Ingrid Neilson.
