Peoria lands new high-tech health care building
Irgens-developed facility expected to start next year

Peoria is getting a new high-tech medical building courtesy of a national health care real estate firm.
Milwaukee-based Irgens will develop the $11 million, 44,000-square-foot building on the northeast corner of 91st Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Construction on what will be the Desert Harbor Medical Commons will start during second-quarter 2021, according to a city-issued press release.
“Making it easy to obtain quality care empowers people to take responsibility for their own health, and I’m grateful for the impact this building will have on the well-being of many generations - in Peoria and the surrounding area," said Peoria Mayor Cathy Carlat in the release.
The building's cost does not included potential tenant improvements or furnishings. No city incentives are being used in the project, Peoria officials said.
"I’m looking forward to the new jobs this medical hub will bring, so our citizens can spend more time close to home, enjoying the things that make them want to live here," said Michael Finn, Peoria Palo Verde District councilmember, in the release.
Irgens, which constructed the Cigna Medical Group pharmacy building across the street from the new building, is looking forward to continuing that relationship with the city, said company Development Director Dave Kross in the statement.
