Pardubsky: Abortion a personal issue only for patients

Posted

When are the political parties, federal and state governments and courts at all levels going to realize that abortion is an elective medical procedure?

As such, it has no need to be considered or legislated by any of the above bodies.

It is an elective procedure to be decided by the patient. If any individual is opposed to the procedure, they simply elect not to proceed.

Think of all the time, effort and money saved at all levels that could and should be spent on the multitude of issues that need to be addressed and acted upon.

The recent action by the Supreme Court, i.e. the repeal of Roe vs. Wade, was a grave error. While their position was the Constitution does not include such a right, nor does it ban, which is now the issue.

None of the above should be considering any legislation regarding the issue, pro or con. It is a personal issue to be addressed by the concerned parties and decided by their own situation, needs and beliefs.
