The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of new weekly coronavirus cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes was 45 as of Friday, April 23, bringing the total tally in the ZIP codes to 11,367.
Last week, 109 new cases were reported.
The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:

Each Wednesday, the county updates the number of residents vaccinated, and the percentage of residents vaccinated by ZIP code at maricopa.gov/5671/Public-Vaccine-Data.
As of April 21, Maricopa County health officials reported that 1.1 million county residents, more than 25%, had completed their COVID-19 vaccine series and were considered fully vaccinated.
According to the website, 2,601,564 vaccine doses had been administered in Maricopa County. Of those, 1,478,721 were first dose, 1,117,001 were second dose and 15,842 were unknown.
In Goodyear 85395, 57.6% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 44.4% had received their second dose. In Goodyear 85338, 47.7% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 32% had received their second dose.

Number of diagnostic tests conducted: 5,362,578 (5,277,951 last Friday); 14,622 new from the previous day (15,417 last Friday)
Test positivity: 11.0% (11.0% last Friday)
