New pool cleaning, maintenance business opens in Glendale

Posted

Dawn Clark spent the past 20 years in the granite industry doing mostly sales work. After a sudden loss in her family in 2020, she decided that life was too short to stay in a sales position for which she didn’t have a passion.

She decided to take hold of her career and become a small business owner.

Now, after making the big move from Columbus, Ohio, to Arizona, Clark is bringing Pool Scouts, the 110-plus territory pool cleaning franchise, to her new community of Glendale to start her new business and future.

“I realized that life is way too short to be unhappy. You have to live your life to the fullest and take some risks sometimes to get the life you want,” Clark said. “So I began looking into business ownership and found Pool Scouts.”

She purchased three territories with the pool cleaning and maintenance brand, and the Glendale territory is the first to open. Pool Scouts has several other operations in Arizona already, and with a 533% surge in new backyard pools since 2019, there is no shortage of demand in one of the country’s hottest states.

Pool Scouts delivers pool cleaning, maintenance and minor repair service through the use of experts in testing, monitoring, treating and servicing pools. In addition, pool service pros don’t even require face-to-face interaction with customers to get the job done, which has turned into a significant benefit during the pandemic.
