Former Colorado deputy gets 3 years in prison for fatally shooting man who called for help
SUMMARY: A former Colorado sheriff’s deputy convicted of killing a 22-year-old man in distress who called 911 for help has been sentenced to three years in prison, the maximum sentence allowed. The judge who sentenced Andrew Buen on Monday said the 2022 shooting of Christian Glass after a standoff was about power. Buen was convicted in February of criminally negligent homicide. Prosecutors alleged that Buen needlessly escalated a standoff with Glass, who showed signs of a mental health crisis and refused orders to get out of his SUV. Buen apologized to the Glass family in court and agreed he escalated the situation.

US--TESLA-VANDALISM
Justice Department charges man with arson at New Mexico Tesla dealership and GOP headquarters
SUMMARY: The Justice Department has charged a man with vandalizing a Tesla dealership in New Mexico and setting fire to the headquarters of the state Republican Party. That’s according to court records unsealed Monday. A criminal complaint charges Jamison R. Wagner with federal arson charges in connection with the vandalism this past February at a Tesla showroom in Bernalillo, where authorities found two Tesla Model Y vehicles ablaze as well as spray-painted graffiti messages including “Die Elon” and “Die Tesla Nazi.” Elon Musk is the billionaire CEO of Tesla and a close ally of President Donald Trump who has helping engineer a massive downsizing of the federal government and purge of employees. A lawyer for Wagner did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
