Mesa to get second eegee's in Valley

Tucson-based chain is again bringing it's locations to the region

Tucson-based sub shop eegee's is bringing a second location to the Valley.

After opening its first location this summer in Gilbert, the company plans to open its second Valley location in Mesa. The site will open in November.

Located at 1460 S. Crismon Road, the approximately 2,300-square-foot-space will feature a new prototype design including a drive-thru with an eegee-only window so those ordering the restaurant’s namesake drink can pick up their order and exit the line.

The space also features walk-up order window and a dining room partially enclosed by garage doors, allowing guests to enjoy eegee’s al fresco during the cooler months.

In advance of the opening, eegee’s will host a job fair to hire approximately 50 team members, including Store Crew Members, Shift Leads, and Assistant Managers. On Saturday, Oct. 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., interested candidates can visit eegee’s Gilbert location (3535 E. Baseline Road) for a guaranteed interview onsite plus free eegee samples, swag, and raffle prizes. Applications also are accepted online.

Known for its sandwiches and frozen drinks, eegee's was founded in the early 1970s that has grown to 29 locations throughout Arizona. All but two of those locations are in Tucson.
