Remembering Marty Robbins open mic jams resume Thursday, July 15 at Sun City Country Club, 9433 N. 107th Ave., the new venue for the shows 5-8 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
The M.R. Country band opens the program playing traditional country music favorites including a memorable selection of Marty Robbins songs. The open mic segment follows, emceed by Jackie Thomas.
Music selections vary, but Robbins’s music is always featured.
The band members are accomplished musicians who have played with various bands.
Reservations are required. To secure seating, contact the Sun City Country Club, 623-933-1353. There is no cover charge. SCCC offers a limited menu. The banquet room is spacious with a beverage bar and dance floor.
