Local family donates 12 bikes to foster children for Christmas

Marty and Nicole Urbanowicz and their three children were inspired to give back to local Arizona foster families this holiday season.
A local family dedicated to community service, the Urbanowicz Family donated 12 new bikes on Dec. 9, for local children in foster care, ages 4-14 through Arizona Helping Hands, according to a press release.
Donations were taken to the site for Arizona Helping Hands at 3110 E Thunderbird Road, in Phoenix.
“Giving is a family tradition, and children are our lives, so we selected AZ Helping Hands organization to deliver 12 shiny new bikes to celebrate The 12 Days of Christmas, for children in their local foster care programs,” states Marty Urbanowicz, founder of Rock Martin Private Wealth Management, in the release.
Jodi Sprayberry, CEO of AZ Helping Hands, greeted the entire family delivering a truck full of new bikes for the children.
The bikes were said to be “perfect timing” for the annual gift drive as thousands of family toys and gifts were donated and to be distributed to thousands of children in local family foster care.
“We hope this inspires families and businesses to get involved in our community giving programs,” Sprayberry says.
Arizona Helping Hands is the benchmark non-profit leading the Arizona challenge to keep up with local foster children’s basic needs, said the release of the largest provider of essential needs for children in foster care in the state, which provides basic needs, birthday dreams, back to school, foster footlockers and licensing safety items.
“We have children and understand the enormous need that the foster families face during holidays. Our family wants to inspire other! Families and companies to go the extra mile to fulfill the dreams of deserving foster children, right here in our own backyard,” Urbanowicz adds.
