(Re: Traffic fixes on Loop 303) This is long overdue but at the same time very welcome.
In my opinion, when construction is completed, the next most important step is signage. There are many elderly drivers, as well as tourist, and truck drivers navigating this corridor.
The signage needs to be large and placed soon enough to direct people into the proper lane for their destination.
For the 303, south off the 60 (Grand Avenue), the signage needs the word “Phoenix,” and for 303 north needs the word “Peoria.” “Surprise” and “Wickenburg” on other signage would be helpful as well.
As a trucker for 35 years, I can’t emphasize enough the need for good readable signage. I’ve already mentioned this to someone in the department in an email.
