2022 Elections

Letters: It’s time to change how we conduct voting

Posted

I have voted by mail for a long time. After the 2020 elections, I started to wonder if I can trust the integrity of our voting systems, here in Arizona as well as in the U.S.

This recent article in a local city council race [“Challenge boots Winters from ballot,” May 4] raises even more suspicions and if voting integrity is lost, our country is lost.

I read an interesting book, well researched called “Rigged” by Mollie Hemingway. It is all about voter fraud, voter harvesting, and how big tech companies have found ways to get more votes than registered voters in some states and in some cities. My wife and I will no longer be voting by mail which we really liked.

Every state has different systems and many states are very problematic. If I were king of the land, looking for a solution, I would recommend serial numbers on each ballot and I would require ID, and I would eliminate mail-in ballots (with some exceptions of course).
