Leadership West hosts annual West-X Leadership Summit


Leadership West is hosting its annual West-X Leadership Summit with the theme “Ride the Wave of Growth” on Feb. 16, at Rio Vista Recreation Center.

Join the nonprofit organization 11 a.m.-1:00 p.m., with check-in starting at 10:30 a.m., to learn how to enhance your leadership abilities. In TED Talk-style presentations from five leaders in Arizona, they will discuss different issues on topics such as jobs, infrastructure and leadership.

 “There is no better way to feed your mind, expand your network, and be on a winning team while making a difference in your community. That is what Leadership West can do for you, and that is what you can do for the West Valley,” says Joel Canchola of Burns & McDonnell, Class 21.

Speakers are Amy Malloy, managing principal at Evolve Ventures, LLC; Shelby Duplessis, president of land eevelopment at The Empire Group of Cos.;  Nico D. Howard, attorney; Laura French, director of state government relations at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.;  and Samantha Pinkal, vice president of business development at Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

Leadership West is a nonprofit organization founded in 1993, bringing West Valley leaders together. The mission of Leadership West is to assist emerging leaders in developing leadership skills used for taking on more prominent roles in their company, community and government while gaining a deeper understanding of issues prevalent throughout the region and state.
