Last chance to vote in Peoria election

Election Day

Posted

Today is the last day  that people in the Peoria Unified School District boundaries  can  vote on the override election.

PUSD has a maintenance and operations override on the ballot. The election was an all-mail ballot election, but it's too late to mail your ballot for it to be counted.  However, those who want to have a say in the matter cna drop the ballot off at any drop-off location provided by Maricopa County Elections Department.

Teachers have taken to Twitter to remind folks to vote today by dropping off their ballot. PUSD sent out a press release as well to all registered emails on file in the district.

Readers discuss the pros and cons of the vote on the Opinions tab under YourValley.net/Peoria.  Three links below are just a sampling of many.

Registered voters can drop off their ballots or get a replacement ballot by visiting Centennial High School,  14388 N. 79th Ave., Peoria, AZ 85381 and Glendale Community College located at 6000 W. Olive Ave., Glendale, AZ 85302. Both locations are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters can track the status of your ballot by visiting the Maricopa County Elections Department online: recorder.maricopa.gov/elections.

To get additional facts about the override, visit the district’s website or call 623-486-6100.
