International School of Arizona Student Council donates to its community

Posted

International School of Arizona’s Student Council, made up of 10 current ISA students and led by Susan Butler, donated over $1,500 in toiletries to the Sojourner Center, a safe haven from domestic violence for women and children in Arizona.

The Toiletries Drive, which was spearheaded by the student council and held on the ISA campus for three weeks, encouraged all 318 enrolled students to participate by bringing in goods for donation.

The Sojourner Center, founded in 1977, has transformed lives by providing shelter and support services to more than 60,000 adults and children affected by domestic violence. Sojourner Center is committed to expanding a safety net of services for women, children, men and pets.

The center is currently extending services further into the community through education and prevention.
