Interactive art experience returning to Peoria

Step into a world of wonder and creativity in downtown Peoria this March.

Light at Play: An Interactive Art Experience, by Pneuhaus, incorporates light, color, and sound with five large-scale public art pieces on display at Osuna Park, 10510 N. 83rd Ave. The experience will be up March 8-17, with the best viewing hours from dusk to the closing of the park at 10:30 p.m.

The featured artwork will include:

  • Street Seats – An interactive seating unit designed to empower users to become the designers of their own environment.
  • Fabric Prism – An open-air pavilion that casts an iridescent color gradient on the interior as light passes through three-colored panels that form an arch.
  • Cloud Lights – This curved, white display provides shade and simulates clouds in flight during the day and is illuminated from within, creating a lantern glow in the evening.
  • Grove – This display features 23 columns of light channeled into a single branching network and vaulted high into the sky, creating pockets and clearings for people to explore.
  • Helix Seats – Two interlocking helices create a form that can be passed through at any point, while also creating an immersive space while seated within. Embedded with LEDs and pressure sensors, visitors can also affect the animations through their touch.
