Independent election forum for Surprise set for July 6

3 candidates to appear at Public Safety Auditorium

Independent Newspapers is hosting a candidate forum Wednesday, July 6 for the three men running for the Surprise City Council in District 1.

The forum is set for 10 a.m. at the Public Safety Auditorium, 14250 W. Statler Plaza.

This is a change from the original location of City Hall Council Chambers.

The candidates vying to replace Roland Winters are Raymond Grim, Lew Guyn and Nick Haney.

District 1 serves the north part of Surprise as well as part in the deep northwest area of the city.

Voting in the primary begins the same day.
