Long time Sun City resident Harry F. Hoover died on December 25, 2019 at the age of 102.

Although he lived here nearly 50 years, the last 14 months were spent living with family in Fallbrook, CA.

Harry served as gunnery sergeant on New Guinea during World War II after which he worked as a locomotive engineer for Nickel Plate RR after which he retired to Sun City with wife, Marguerite.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Smith of Muncie, IN, Nancy Price of Ramona, CA and Deborah Wolcott of Fallbrook, CA; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife of 73 years, Mary Marguerite Hoover and his twelve siblings.

Loved by family, friends and neighbors, Harry Hoover was a shining example of the Greatest Generation.
