We are sad to announce the passing of Glenn L Jensen of Sun City, Arizona. Glenn was 97 years old when he died on November 18, 2022 from complications of surgery for a broken femur in the hospital.

He was with his daughter Karen (Jensen) Marzullo at the hospital and his son Thomas Jensen was able to talk to him on the phone shortly before he passed.

Glenn was married to his wife Dorothy and enjoyed celebrating his 50-year anniversary until she passed. He is survived by his son Thomas Jensen, his wife Karen Naimoli Jensen of Southport, NC and daughter Karen Marzullo, Cottonwood, Az. In addition, he had two grandsons, Andrew (Christine) and Gregory Jensen (Sage) and enjoyed being a great grandfather to six children. Glenn was a decorated WW2 Army Air-Corp veteran. During his combat career, he flew numerous missions in a B-24 bomber over Italy. He was the radio operator and a master sergeant. Upon arriving back in the United States after the war he started a family on the South side of Chicago. He trained to be a printer and improved his skill set as the science of printing became more complex. From a photoengraver to a rotogravure specialist, he provided a safe house and food on the table for his wife and children. He retired in 1983 and moved from Chicago to Sun City, AZ and loved the surrounding area. Glenn and Dorothy were both involved with volunteer work and Dorothy a Sun City Pom and singer with Glenn as a co-manager. He also played baseball, worked at numerous jobs helping the homeless and less fortunate all his life. Residents where he lived described him as unique and enjoyed his laughter, quick wit, jokes, and his enjoyment of life.
