Families can get free photos with Santa

Three Valley real estate industry companies are collecting money and toys for Homeward Bound, which is a nonprofit that helps struggling families experiencing homelessness.

Real estate industry professionals have partnered to launch a toy drive for Homeward Bound, according to a press release, detailing the benefits of the community nonprofit that creates pathways out of poverty for many needy families relying on community nonprofit organizations to help them feed and shelter their children.

Michelle Noma, Corcoran Platinum Living real estate agent, invites those families to a free socially-distanced visit with Santa with photos for children from 1– 4 p.m. on Dec. 6 in front of the fountain on High Street in City North in Desert Ridge, the release said.

Ms. Noma encourages parents to reserve a time slot at desertridgeliving.com and bring an unwrapped toy or make a donation to help a child have a better Christmas.

All donations will go to Homeward Bound, which gives families a second chance by helping them find stable housing and get needed help, noted the release.

“Working in real estate gives me the opportunity to help families secure the home of their dreams to grow and be loved and share wonderful memories together, especially during the holidays,” said Ms. Noma in a prepared statement.

“While not all families can afford a home right now, my hope is to raise awareness that many children in our own community will not even get a single gift this Christmas, so their donation will be appreciated and remembered for years to come.”

To reach her goal of 100 toys for Homeward Bound, she teamed up with her real estate industry colleagues, Angie Sanich of Pioneer Title and Kristie Varga of Sun West Mortgage to implore clients, colleagues, and friends to donate to the campaign.

The public can also drop off toys by Dec. 6 at Pioneer Title at 5355 E. High Street, Suite 131, added the release.

“Corcoran Platinum Living is thrilled to support this wonderful giving campaign that is not only collecting toys for children in need, but also giving back by offering families free photos with Santa,” said Michelle Macklin in a prepare statement.

“There are many companies within the local real estate industry, and the partnership these ladies have shown reflects our values of giving back to our community and building strong relationships.”

Corcoran Platinum Living and its agents have a history of giving back to nonprofit organizations within the Valley, the release said, adding that they donate water bottles to Phoenix Rescue Mission in the summer, collect donations for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and encourage agents to help Arizona Small Dog Rescue.

A Corcoran Group affiliate, Corcoran Platinum Living, is a real estate brokerage headquartered in Scottsdale with five local offices and more than 140 agents, specializing in real estate services for luxury communities including DC Ranch, North Scottsdale, Cave Creek and Paradise Valley.
