Evolve Ventures hosts panel discussion to empower women in CRE industry

Evolve Ventures, a commercial real estate firm founded by two women who are committed to lifting up other industry women, will host a panel discussion April 13, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. entitled “Modern Networking: Using Your Personal Interests to Build Relationships and Seal Deals” at Brinkmann Construction, 6991 E. Camelback Road, Suite 340, in Scottsdale. The cost is $35 per person with all proceeds going to the Project Athena Foundation.

Evolve Ventures’ managing principals, Amy Malloy and Heather Personne, who have a combined 50 years of experience, will lead the discussion with a number of other high-profile women in the commercial real estate industry.

“When Amy and I founded Evolve Ventures four years ago, we committed to thinking, acting and transacting differently,” Personne said in a written statement. “The Modern Networking: Using Your Personal Interests to Build Relationships and Seal Deals panel is a prime example of Evolve Ventures offering our experience and relationships to help other women forge their own paths.”

Panelists include:

· Heather Personne, Managing Principal at Evolve Ventures
· Amy Malloy, Managing Principal at Evolve Ventures
· Tammy Carr, Director of Business Development at Brinkmann Constructors

· Karla Moran, Principal of Economic Development at SRP
· Ashley Nye, Director of Development at Cortland
· Angela Talbot, Vice President at JE Dunn

The panel will offer guidance on how younger women can create deals in the male-dominated industry. Panelists also will discuss how they have carved out opportunities that have proven mutually beneficial for their companies such as working for a few months from Europe and at regional offices across the country.

In recent years, Evolve Ventures formed an adventure club in which a number of the panelists participate. Together, the women offer each other fellowship and business advice at “Frappy Hours” after they drop their kids off at school. They also kayak the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, whitewater raft in North Carolina, hike Valley mountains and participate in pickleball tournaments. They form friendships and get deals done in the process.

“We want to help other women and moms find the control and flexibility they need to thrive in their (commercial real estate) positions,” Malloy said in a written statement. “We know they work hard at their career, want to take their kids to school, make soccer practice and not end up frustrated by too many demands. The panel will celebrate professionals seeking adventure and securing deals at the same time.”
