The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers once again invite submissions from students in the Apache Junction Unified School District who may be interested in horse-riding lessons.
Visitors to our website will be limited to five stories per month unless they opt to subscribe. The five stories do not include our exclusive content written by our journalists.

The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers once again invite submissions from students in the Apache Junction Unified School District who may be interested in horse-riding lessons.
Twice a year the Apache Junction Mounted Rangers offer free lessons to several qualified students at the Good Shepherd Healing Ministries Horse Rescue, according to a release.
The Apache Junction Mounted Rangers will sponsor up to five young people grades 4 through 12 who are interested in learning how to ride. The lessons will be given over a period of four months.
The young people selected will receive weekly riding lessons. All riding equipment, including a horse, will be provided. Those interested must live within the Apache Junction Unified School District.
Interested students must write an essay stating why he or she should be chosen for this opportunity. Applicants should also include a cover letter with their name, address, phone number, name of school in which they are enrolled as well as grade level. They will also need to include a letter of consent from a parent or guardian to receive the riding lessons and their agreement to provide transportation to and from the lessons. Lessons will start Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, and run through May 2022.
