Dog kennel, code violations in Apache Junction before supervisors Wednesday

Posted

Authorizing the Pinal County attorney to enforce civil hearing office findings of violations at an Apache Junction property on West Whiteley Street is to be considered by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors Wednesday.

Enforcement is to be authorized including filing a complaint in Superior Court, utilizing appropriate resources to remedy the violations and filing liens for the cost of recovery, according to county records.

The case is in a consent agenda with other items for the 9:30 a.m. Aug. 25 meeting in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room, 135 N. Pinal St. in Florence.

The property owner at 2850 W. Whiteley St. was found in violation of the Pinal County Development Services Code for zoning clearance and permits for having an established commercial dog kennel in a residential zone without a special use permit, outside storage and parking, having accumulated debris and scrap throughout the property and having accumulated numerous inoperable and/or unregistered vehicles on the property, according to the agenda.

The supervisors are to vote on authorizing the county attorney to take all necessary action to enforce the civil hearing office finding of violations against Charlotte Ann Sillers Hickman.
