Bid process set for 2.2-acre parcel owned by Apache Junction

A 2.2-acre parcel of land acquired by the city of Apache Junction will be sold via a sealed bid process this fall by the city.

The land, at 978 E. Roosevelt St., is in a residential single family, general rural zone with horse privileges and will be sold “as is” under a bid process set by law, according to a release.

Sealed bids will be taken by the city through Oct. 26. The City Council will award the successful bidder in November. Bidders must follow the city’s standard procurement procedure.

Interested parties will be allowed to tour the property at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31. The minimum bid for the property is $270,000. The highest qualified bidder will be awarded the property after an agreement of sale is completed with the city less than 15 days after the notice of award is issued by the City Council.

Information and bid instructions can be found on city website at apachejunctionaz.gov/825/Purchasing. Questions will be answered at publicpurchase.com.

Bids must include a self-addressed, postage paid envelope and be clearly marked “978 E Roosevelt Road Property” on the outside of the package. Bids will be due to the city clerk’s office, 300 E. Superstition Blvd., Apache Junction, AZ, 85119, no later than 2 p.m. on Oct. 26.

Correspondence, questions, and/or clarifications of the bidding procedure should be directed to Heather Hodgman, administrative services manager, at 480-474-8500 or by email at hhodgman@apachejunctionaz.gov.
