Benbenek joins Sun Health as chief marketing officer

Posted

Sun Health named Vincent Benbenek as its new chief marketing officer.

Mr. Benbenek joined the organization in November.

He brings to his new role extensive experience and expertise in strategy and marketing, using both to build and enhance brands, drive engagement and grow revenue.

In addition to running his own marketing and brand development agency, Mr. Benbenek recently served as vice president of marketing and communications for Cape Fear Valley Health, an integrated, eight-hospital system with more than 75 locations across seven counties in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

For nearly 10 years he led the marketing team to dramatically increase brand recognition, top of mind and recall in primary and secondary markets; repair and enhance Cape Fear Valley’s reputation; and accelerate service line growth.

“Vince’s extensive brand management and development of digital marketing initiatives, as well as ownership of his own marketing and advertising firm, makes him a great fit for Sun Health,” Sun Health President and CEO Joe La Rue said. “As CMO, Vince will be leading Sun Health’s branding efforts, including the foundation’s Generosity for Generations capital campaign and the extensive programs and services offered through Sun Health Wellness. He will also support the growth and development of Sun Health Communities three Life Care communities: Grandview Terrace in Sun City West, La Loma Village in Litchfield Park and The Colonnade in Surprise.”

Mr. Benbenek received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Nonprofit Sun Health boasts more than 50 years of meeting the health care needs of the community, first as a hospital-based system and now as an organization offering philanthropic support, three Life Plan Communities, a Continuing Care at Home program and a full slate of health and wellness programs.
