Band plays at local church

The Surprise Pops Band will perform 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Advent Episcopal Church, 13150 Spanish Garden Drive.

The band will highlight a variety of well-known tunes and the performance is a free community event.

Those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Valley View Community Food Bank.

This will be the final concert until Sept. 4, when Dan Reed will open the church’s fall concert series.
