Assault, fatal accident reported by Florence Police

Warrant arrest reported at 9:42 a.m., May 9 at East Diversion Dam Road
Subject was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for a valid/confirmed warrant.

Warrant arrest reported at 2:23 p.m., May 9 at North Pinal Parkway Avenue
Subject was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for a valid/confirmed warrant.

Warrant arrest reported at 10:35 a.m. May 11 at East Diversion Dam Road
Subject was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for a valid/confirmed warrant.

Assault reported at 6:04 p.m., May 11 at South San Carlos Street
Officer was dispatched to a report of an assault. Contact was made with the parties involved. Reporting party claimed the other subject involved had pushed her out of the residence. No injuries were reported. Charging review paperwork was submitted to the town attorney for determination of charges.

Warrant arrest reported at 3:18 p.m., May 13 at North Pinal Parkway Avenue
Subject was arrested and booked into Pinal County Jail for a valid/confirmed warrant.

Traffic fatality reported at 8:28 p.m., May 13 at South Pinal Parkway Avenue
Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident. Information provided indicated the accident was between a motorcycle and a semi-truck and the driver of the motorcycle was not breathing. The driver of the semi-truck stated he was traveling southbound on Pinal Parkway Avenue and witnessed the motorcycle being driven in the parking lot of an apartment complex. He stated he observed the motorcyclist driving in the private drive and thought he would stop. The truck driver said once he drove past the entrance, he looked into his rear-view mirror, and he saw the motorcycle driver rolling underneath his trailer. The truck driver stated he stopped and called police. Lifesaving measures were attempted by Florence Fire Department, but the motorcycle driver was later pronounced dead. The case is pending further information.
