Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission meets Jan. 6

Posted

An update on a fee study is part of the Jan. 6 meeting of the Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission.

The meeting is to start at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.

In other business, the commission is slated to be updated on projects and opportunities in the parks and other service areas; and an election is to be held for a parks and recreation commission chair and vice chair.

The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission is an advisory board that works closely with the parks and recreation director. The board recommends regulations, policies, control and improvements of public parks in Apache Junction. The commission also recommends fees for the use of public facilities, full time and seasonal employees as necessary for the efficient management of city parks and recreational programs, according to the city’s website.
