Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission meets Dec. 2

An update on the recent sale of 2,783.13 acres of State Trust Land south and adjacent to Apache Junction is part of the Dec. 2 meeting of the Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission. The land was sold for $245.5 million to homebuilder D.R. Horton Inc. in a live auction Nov. 4.
The meeting is to start at 6 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 300 E. Superstition Blvd.
In other business, the commission is slated to be updated on the city’s parks and recreation facilities and programs; and the city attorney is to update, review and discuss the 2020 code of conduct, conflicts of interest law, open meeting law, parliamentary procedure and public record law.
