Peoria Chamber of Commerce CEO/President Scot Andrews left his position for other opportunities in the business world.
Chamber staff will continue operations and began a search to fill the position.
Andrews began his tenure in 2019 and stepped down last month.
He owns a location of Any Lab Test Now, 4501 E. Thomas Road, No. 105, Phoenix that has grown under his guidance and will take more of his time to expand the business into the West Valley.
Any Lab Test Now has more than 180 testing locations nationwide and provides lab visits by appointment, or walk-ins.
Andrews also grew the Peoria Chamber during his time working in Peoria. He launched the First Responder’s Charity Golf Tournament, recently completing its third year, and increased the membership nearly 50% from 290 to 420 during the pandemic.
“In a time when most chambers our size were losing membership we were gaining it. It was very difficult because businesses were virtual and many were struggling. I was working 24/7, and my capacity continued to shrink. That drove my decision [to leave],” he said. “But I’ll still be in the business community, going out to businesses and talking to business owners.
