ADHS reports 50 new weekly coronavirus cases in Goodyear

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported 50 new coronavirus cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes over the week ending Friday, July 2, 23 fewer than the 73 new weekly cases reported last Friday.

That brings the overall tally of cases in Goodyear to 11,921.

The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:

Vaccinations

Each week, the county updates the number of residents vaccinated, and the percentage of residents vaccinated by ZIP code at maricopa.gov/5671/Public-Vaccine-Data.

As of June 29, Maricopa County health officials reported that 45% of all county residents and 52% of county residents 10 and older had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the website, 3,759,573 vaccine doses had been administered to Maricopa County residents. Of those, 1,907,519 were first dose, 1,807,636 were second dose and 44,418 were unknown.

In Goodyear 85395, 63.5% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 57.3% had received their second dose.

In Goodyear 85338, 56.3% of the eligible population had received their first dose and 49.9% had received their second dose.
