Abrazo West in Goodyear to hold vaccine clinic this week

Free COVID-19 shots and boosters will be available

A ‘pop-up’ vaccination event is coming to Abrazo West Campus in Goodyear this week, offering COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots.

The event will be held Sept. 17 and Sept.  18 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will offer Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. 

Abrazo West is at 13677 W. McDowell Road.

The event is a partnership between Abrazo Health, Maricopa County and mobile health services company DocGo. 

About 180 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available each day and about 200 doses of booster shots will be available for immunocompromised people, according to DocGo. 

The booster shot is available to people who are immunocompromised and received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. People who received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine are not yet eligible to receive a booster. 

Children 12 and up are eligible to receive the vaccine, but minors are only able to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. 

Insurance and IDs are not required for those who attend the vaccine clinic. Walk-ins are welcome.
