61st annual Phoenix Heart Ball kicks off at Saks Fifth Avenue

Chairman Jennifer Moser, her committee came together to begin planning this year’s event

Posted

On Feb. 11 at Saks Fifth Avenue, Valley women came together in support of an important cause, the American Heart Association, by kicking off planning for the 61st Annual Phoenix Heart Ball, being held on Saturday, Nov. 21, at The Phoenician Resort.

This year’s chairman, Jennifer Moser, announced the theme --- Remembering Hearts: Past, Present and Future --- introduced her executive committee and together they welcomed this year’s committee members who will be helping to make a difference in the lives of many by planning this year’s annual soiree.

“To be among the many amazing philanthropists and leaders who have chaired this historic event is an honor,” said Ms. Moser in a prepared statement. “Our committee has big shoes to fill and we look forward to surpassing all expectations with what we have planned this year.”

The theme of the 61st Annual Phoenix Heart Ball is Remembering Hearts: Past, Present and Future; remembering those that we have lost in the past, remembering to take care of ourselves in the present and remembering to teach our children and others what to do today to live a longer life.

Following the announcement of the year’s theme (with the chosen colors of red and cobalt blue with a pop of fuchsia), the kick-off event featured breakfast from The Herb Box, The Best of SAKS Spring Fashion Show, and Ms. Moser introduced her executive committee:

  • Vice Chairmen, Suzanne Hilton and Maja Langbein;
  • Heart Ball Sweetheart, Char Hubble;
  • Chairman-Elect, Amanda Garmany; and
  • The 2020 Honorary Chairs, Jeff, Dennis and Mike Mastro.

Their mission this year is to educate people on the “Did you Know” of heart disease, stroke and all areas The American Heart Association is impacting, including collaborating with the community to put an end to vaping, improving women’s health, raising awareness on mental health and ultimately helping people everywhere increase their healthy life expectancy.
