Zipps Sports Grill opens Kierland location again

Zipps Sports Grills announced the re-opening of its Kierland location on 64th Street and Greenway Parkway. Doors opened on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

According to a press release, this Zipps location has been closed for several months for an extensive enlargement and remodel project.

Those familiar with the complex may remember that Zipps shared the building with a bank in the unit next door. The bank moved out leaving the unit unoccupied, and it sparked the idea for Zipps to expand into that space.

The neighborhood was top of mind in the decision to do a complete renovation, the release stated. Being a part of the Kierland community for over 20 years, Zipps felt they owed their updated facility and state-of-the-art audio-video technology to the neighborhood.

An “extensive” remodel is not an exaggeration, it is a brand new Zipps with a whole new interior layout, and with the expansion, it makes it the biggest and newest Zipps in Scottsdale. Walking in, you will notice the features that have made Zipps a Scottsdale fixture for nearly 30 years: brick walls, wood flooring and a warm and comfortable setting.

There are two family-friendly dining rooms, a 21+ cocktail lounge area with a huge bar and new tables and seating throughout the restaurant. The patio also expanded, now wrapping from the north side around the front of the building creating a more spacious outdoor dining area, the release detailed.

Behind the scenes, the entire back of the house was redone with more space and all-new equipment for the team.

Entertainment includes over 45 large HD flat-screen televisions, including two impressive giant-screen displays to feature your favorite sporting games. To add more fun, there is an adult game area with a pool table and two golden tees, and a game area for kids.

Located at 6501 E Greenway Parkway in Scottsdale, Zipps thanks you for your patience and is very excited to re-open and serve as the Neighborhood Gathering Spot again, the release stated.
