Founded by sisters and entrepreneurs Zuleika and Karla Zaragoza, Beauty and Propaganda is a lifestyle salon that encourages clients to maximize their “me time” by offering services that can be done in tandem.
Beauty and Propaganda, a lifestyle salon, will open late January at 7400 North Via Paseo Del Sur, Suite 104 in the Grove on Hayden shopping center, according to a press release.
Transplants from El Paso, the sisters experienced were described as having somewhat of a “culture shock” upon moving to Scottsdale, the release said of their appreciation for all types of beauty across all cultures.
Through their company, the release said the two aim to help everyone find beauty within at the one stop shop, which offers a variety of services under one roof, providing guests the convenience of scheduling multiple services at once for the “ultimate me-time” pampering experience.
“Our uniqueness is what makes us all beautiful, and we want to make each guest feel like they’re part of a community where we celebrate differences, not flaws,” said Zuleika Zaragoza, Beauty and Propaganda cofounder, in a prepared statement.
“Beauty and Propaganda is about self-love on a regular basis, which may be different for everyone but that doesn’t mean you have to reserve it for a special occasion. Every single day we’re told what we’re supposed to look like, but true beauty is not a shape, size or color.”
The lifestyle salon, Beauty and Propaganda, will offer clients a new way to beautify, allowing members to choose from various services that can be done in conjunction with one another to maximize a “me-day,” with services such as a blow-out, manicure and pedicure, eyelash extensions, make-up, and tanning.
Beauty and Propaganda salon will also feature classes such as make-up tutorials designed for teens, or women over 40, for example. Rather than teaching make-up users how to “hide their flaws,” the release said instruction will focus on highlighting guests’ favorite features to create high-glam and everyday looks they love.
