Solange Whitehead deserves our vote for council. She has worked tirelessly, case-by-case, issue by issue on behalf of residents and businesses.
Her approach to development projects is exemplary. She does not support development for the sake of it as some on the council do, nor does she oppose development for the sake of it like others do.
Her approach is reasoned and without pretext, other than to get the best for Scottsdale residents and businesses at every turn. That is exactly what I want and we need on the council.
I have watched her work ethic and it is beyond compare. In my opinion there is no candidate in this race that has any set of skills similar or better than hers.
Solange’s approach is based on the old-fashioned principles of dedication and hard work. What she did not know before she has taken the time to learn which is why she is so effective at negotiating and getting to win-win. Her style reminds me of former Mayor Herb Drinkwater, and that is saying a lot.
She is tough but fair with the developers, being supportive where it is warranted. Solange understands the connection between our impending water problems and electric power generation in our state. While some see the glass as either half-full or half-empty Solange realizes that the glass is always 100% filled with a combination of water and air and that both must be protected for us to sustain our special Scottsdale community.
She has gained the respect of city staff, state legislators, developers, local educators and citizens like you and me.
This is why with my ballot this year Solange Whitehead is my choice for Scottsdale City Council. I hope you and your family will join me and my family in voting for Solange.
