Traffic delays expected for north, south Scottsdale projects

Several roadways in Scottsdale will undergo closures as part of ongoing road and utility work projects throughout the city.
As Arizona Loop 101’s widening projects continue, drivers can expect a reduction to two lanes on the freeway at Scottsdale Road from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each weeknight until Dec. 13. Traffic between Scottsdale and Hayden roads will continue to be shifted until August 2020.
Scottsdale Road will also close at Loop 101 from 11 p.m. to 6 p.m. each weeknight until Dec. 13.
Drivers can also expect numerous restrictions at the intersection of Thomas Road and 64th Street from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 19.
Also in south Scottsdale, northbound Hayden Road will narrow to one lane from McKellips to Mcdowell roads through Dec. 14 for gas line work. During the same dates, southbound Hayden Road will reduce to one lane at Roosevelt Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
