The Jones-Gordon School, an innovative private school in Paradise Valley, announced the appointment of Jake L. Sanders as the first-ever chief development officer of the school.

The Jones-Gordon School is dedicated to providing individualized and innovative education to students in grades 1–12 with language-based learning differences.

In his role, Sanders will be contributing to the development and fundraising of The Jones-Gordon School, showcasing the transformative, personalized education that the school provides through creative initiatives and mission-centered gatherings, according to a press release.

“Sanders represents a significant milestone in the history of The Jones-Gordon School as the first chief development officer,” Dana Herzberg, founder and head of school, said in the release. “Sanders is the embodiment of our core values and a key individual in our mission to propelling the growth of our school and our students as we empower them to reach their fullest potential.”

Sanders has previously worked in the real estate, design and finance sectors, and has experience in event planning and fundraising. He served as a client service associate for Citigroup in New York, contributing to the growth and efficiency of one of the world’s largest investment banking firms. Additionally, Sanders worked as a media director and associate for Engel and Volkers, managing media campaigns for the Stuart, Fla. office specializing in property brokerage.

Sanders received his Bachelor of Applied Science in organizational management from Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Fla.

Sanders currently resides in Scottsdale. Outside of work, Sanders serves as a committee member for the Arizona Costume Institute. He also enjoys baking and traveling.
