The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation launches artisan collaborations

Posted

The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation has launched new home décor and lifestyle products designed and crafted by local and international artisans exclusively for the Frank Lloyd Wright Store.

Located off the main entrance of Taliesin West — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Historic Landmark in Scottsdale, that served as Wright’s winter home and desert laboratory — the store showcases books, home décor, apparel and art featuring designs and other products inspired by his legacy.

The store’s offering celebrates the global influence of one of the greatest American architect of the 20th century, according to a press release, noting continued efforts to preserve the architect’s legacy and propel his work and ideas into today’s homes.

The store’s curated array of high-quality, timeless products furthers his “vision of inspiring society to discover and embrace an architecture for better living through meaningful connections to nature, the arts, and each other,” according to the release.

“The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation inspires new audiences to discover and embrace an architecture for better living through Wright’s work and ideas, which are more relevant today than ever before. So, it’s been very rewarding to see how this group of talented artists has embraced Wright’s designs and expressed them through their own unique styles,” said the foundation’s director of retail, Mark Johnson, in a prepared statement.

“We’ve known the importance of shopping small and supporting the arts community as a whole this last year, and these exclusive collaborations are a perfect way to marry those ideals, while supporting the preservation of Wright’s homes and legacy.”

The Frank Lloyd Wright Store at Taliesin West is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and offers foundation members 10% off their entire order. Advance reservations are required for campus tours, available daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the release said.

All products are available at the store’s flagship location as well as online at FrankLloydWrightStore.com. Each purchase supports the foundation’s mission to preserve Taliesin and Taliesin West for future generations.
